The JJ’s

The January Joiners (”JJ’s”) at my gym are out of hand.  You know, those people who make it a New Years Resolution and take over my gym using every machine and making me run zig-zag on the track?  The ones who loiter, are there to socialize, and take all the good parking spots?  Well…I am simply tired of them.  It’s February 4th, isn’t it time they go back home and get back on the couch and pop open a bag of chips?  Okay that’s harsh I guess, I wish everyone well on their endeavors with exercise, but I just wish they would all join a different gym.  I’m still going to the gym at the same time but the gym is 3 times as crowded.  It’s annoying.

Every gym has them. I’ve been especially entertained this week with a group of high school girls who wondered into zumba 10 mins late with jeans and tight tanks. They all huddled in a tight group (even though it’s best to spread out). I got to watch one try to pull up her jeans after every move and one take more time drinking and chit chatting in the hall than zumbaing (not sure if that is a word?). Anyway….ready for them to find a new gym too…..oh wait, we have no other gyms in town! :) And just a side note……they were huffing and puffing way more than any of us “older” girls.

  2. Give it another couple of weeks; they will be dropping out. I have to agree with the socializers. They are freakin’ annoying. If you are going to stand around and talk, go to Starbucks! A lot of the people on the track are probably praying for warmer weather so they can run outside. I know I am!!
