The best weekend ever

What an amazing weekend I had.  Friday right after work, as I said in a previous post, I went to see the Killers.  The show was AMAZING.  They opened with Human which made me immensely happy.  Afterwards I experienced the most odd sequence of events possibly of my life.  I won’t go into great detail…but it involved breaking my phone, losing my purse, finding my purse (on a sidewalk) an getting my phone fixed instantly at the Apple store which I hear is next to impossible.  I am certain that I am on the right path in life, things just don’t sync up this well for nothing.  And I am a firm believer in karma.  I even watch My Name is Earl sometimes.

Saturday, after a quick visit to the Apple Store, Tonia and I got packed and ready to head to the Brown County Bachelorette party.  It was amazing.  It was at a beautiful gigantic cabin…, in the middle of nowhere, in Brown County, set amongst rolling hills, ponds, trickling streams, beautiful barns, and filled with amazing girls who I was so happy to spend the weekend with.  We had such an amazing time, we went for walks, talked about boys, did bachelorette party stuff, and ate a ton of food.  Tonia an I even tried to find morel mushrooms in the morning in the woods but didn’t have any luck.  As soon as I remembered it was tic season I started panicking a bit and headed back in.  That is definitely not something I want to experience.

Sunday we cleaned the house, drank lots of coffee, and headed out.  Sunday night I had dinner with a friend, who also gave me lots of new music to enjoy, which is so nice!  Sunday night I finally got some much needed rest.  Today I got most of the kitchen unpacked. (Remember I didn’t have to work) SUCH a relief.  Got all my new music sync’d to my ipods, went to the eye doctor, and then met up with my college friends for the afternoon.  My friend Carrie is in town from Santa Barbara, and my other friend Rochelle came down from LaGrange to drive her to Muncie.  So the three of us met up in Broad Ripple, had a coffee picnic by the bridge, and then some yummy Indian food.  We had such a wonderful time.  We joked that we had an unbreakable bond similar to the bond that people who have experienced tragedies together have.   Our tragedy happened to be Ball State.  Tomorrow will be vegetable malai kofta leftovers for lunch….followed by my coworkers saying “your food looks like baby diarrhea.  So here I am, still smiling from the amazing weekend I’ve had.  Life is good.
