How I started my day

I was woken up at 3:00 am by Eugene, my beloved feline.  He was sitting 2 inches from my head, desperately trying to get my attention.  He kept sitting where he knew I could see him, petting my face repeatedly.  Yes, he was petting me.  Repeatedly.  Really I think he was trying to tell me to get out of bed and get him some food because he had thrown up at least 5 times that I heard.

So my alarm finally went off around 6, just when I had started to drift back asleep (that’s how it always goes huh?).  I turned on the light, and began carefully sidestepping around the 7 piles of vomit aka the “landmines” that had been carefully placed in between my bed and the bathroom.  The day before my bath mat had been puked on (are you seeing a trend here?) which forced me to wash it by hand (I currently have no washer and dryer) and throw it over the shower rod to dry.  I reached up and grabbed it to lay it back down, only of course, I grabbed too hard, and the whole curtain/rod ensemble came crashing down.  And I’ve only been awake for about 60 seconds at this point.  Can I go back to bed now?  Please?

Next order of business….

Buy more Spot Shot (it’s been long overdue that I’ve talked about spot shot in a post don’t you think?)

Find a new vet (after the $280 I just spent having tests run to find out what’s wrong with Eugene - there HAS to be a more affordable vet around here somewhere!)

Thank goodness I have my tennis class tonight….I definitely have a lot of steam to blow off.

  1. Oh Em I feel ya. And yes, try a new vet. I quickly learned that one around here is practically robbing people with their prices but then I found a much better one.
