The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

This just in….I just got back from Kroger and they now have Pumpkin Spice creamer by Coffee Mate in the LARGE sizes!   This makes me happy. This will save me from having to buy 3 small containers per week.   Now if they would just make the large containers in a fat-free version it would be perfect.  Oh wait…they would also need to make it year round.  Of course this could possibly take away some of the excitement of the fall.  I guess I’ll just do what I normally do and at the end of the season try to catch the “get rid of the holiday creamer” clearance sale and buy at least 10 bottles.  Then my refrigerator will look like I’m having some sort of weird coffee party.

I got my new Entertainment Weekly in the mail this week.  Another thing I love about this time of the year….OSCAR SEASON is starting soon!     They have an Oscar calendar in the new edition which is great….I can very simply map out the movies I want to see this season.  So far this is what has made the cut.

  • Milk - 11/26 (Sean Penn,  James Franco, Emile Hirsch….where do I sign up?)
  • Frost/Nixon - 12/5 (Journalist vs. President - previews look good)
  • Wendy and Lucy - 12/10 (Michelle Williams traveling across the country with her dog - that’s about all I know)
  • Doubt - 12/12 - (Philip Seymour Hoffman plays a priest accused of child molestation.  If Capote taught me anything it’s that this man can act)
  • The Wrestler - 12/17 (Not 100% sold on this one as I don’t know much about it but EW saying Mickey Rourke could be in the race for best actor intrigues me)
  • Yes Man -12/19 ( I will always and forever love Jim Carrey.  And Zooey Deschanel is great too.)
  • The Curious Case of Benjamin Button -12/25 (Brad Pitt aging backwards….I’ve been waiting a long time for this one to come out…lots of buzz already)
  • Revolutionary Road - 12/26 (How can you not want to see an encore from Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet?)

There are a few others that I am interested in, but aren’t on the MUST SEE list.

And lastly, another reason why this is great time of the year….I will get 2 weeks off of work for Christmas.  Perfect timing…with all of those movies to go see I am going to need some time off work.

  1. Ew, those movies sound good. Also, you may have an addiction to creamer. Three bottles a week?! Are you bathing in it?

Two large cups of coffee before work…..I keep a bottle in my office refrigerator which often gets shared….and then sometimes at night I take a bath in it. It’s hard to rinse off but it leaves a great pumpkin scent. (just kidding)
